Consumed

I sit her rotting from the inside out
Can't find my way, I can't break out!
Of this prison that you've locked me in
I don't fight cause I can't win
The smile on your face as you walk away
Spoke more to me than words could say
Your wicked laugh echoes down the prison hall
I stare in grief at my cell wall

Consumed by love, love for you
Can't eat, can't sleep, can't think, can't do
Livin' on nicotine, caffeine and booze
And you're another bad habit that I can't lose

I fits of sleep I dream I'm free
Of the painful hold you have on me
I run again, I laugh, I play
And you're not standing in my way

I wake up facing my cell wall
Why I'm here, I can't recall
I get up slowly, I stand tall
I check the cell door, It's not locked after all!
I laugh at your memory as I run away
I know I'm free and that's how I'll stay

Consumed by love, love for you
Can't eat, can't sleep, can't think, can't do
I live on nicotine, caffeine and booze
But you're one bad habit that I CAN lose!
